The Science
The Aura™ is built on one quiet idea: that skin responds to light. Not heat, not abrasion — light. For decades, dermatology clinics have used specific wavelengths of low-level light to support the skin's own renewal processes. We brought that same principle home, refined into a ten-minute evening ritual.
How light therapy works
Certain wavelengths of visible and near-infrared light are absorbed by the skin, where they are thought to support the activity of mitochondria — the energy centres inside your cells. The leading theory, called photobiomodulation, suggests this gentle stimulation may help skin look more radiant, calm and resilient over time. It is non-thermal and non-invasive: nothing is heated, nothing is ablated.
The wavelengths we use
- Red light (≈630 nm) — Glow. The most-studied wavelength for radiance, often associated with the appearance of firmer, more luminous skin.
- Near-infrared (≈850 nm) — Renew. A deeper-reaching wavelength, frequently explored for its supportive role in skin comfort and recovery.
- Blue light (≈463 nm) — Calm. Commonly used in routines focused on clarity and a fresh, balanced complexion.
- Mixed — Twilight. A blended setting that combines wavelengths for an all-over evening treatment.
Designed to be gentle
The Aura™ uses medical-grade LEDs set into a featherweight silicone shell. There is no heat, no UV and no downtime. It is designed for most skin types and tones, to be used as part of a consistent nightly ritual.
Consistency, not intensity. Ten quiet minutes, a few nights a week, is the rhythm the ritual was built around.
An honest note
The Aura™ is a beauty and wellness device, not a medical treatment, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Individual results vary, and visible changes — when they come — tend to build gently over weeks of consistent use. If you have a specific skin concern or a photosensitive condition, we recommend a short conversation with your dermatologist first.
