The Aura™ offers four light modes. Think of them less as settings and more as moods — each suited to a different evening and a different intention. Here is what each one is, and how to build a rhythm around them.
A quick word on wavelengths
Light is measured in nanometres (nm). The number tells you the colour and — roughly — how deep the light reaches: shorter wavelengths stay near the surface, longer ones travel further in. That single idea is most of what you need to choose well.
Glow — Red light (≈630 nm)
The signature mode. Red light is the most-studied wavelength for radiance, and is often associated with the look of firmer, more luminous skin. Reach for it when you want that lit-from-within finish — before an event, or simply on the nights you want to feel polished.
Best for: everyday radiance. Pair with: a hydrating serum afterwards.
Renew — Near-infrared (≈850 nm)
The deepest-reaching of the four, and invisible to the eye — do not worry if it looks like little is happening. Frequently explored for its supportive role in skin comfort and recovery, Renew is a quiet, restorative setting for the end of a long or depleting day.
Best for: tired, stressed skin. Pair with: a slow, screen-free wind-down.
Calm — Blue light (≈463 nm)
Closest to the surface. Blue light is commonly used in routines focused on clarity and a fresh, balanced complexion. Think of it as a clean-slate mode for the weeks when your skin feels congested or out of sorts.
Best for: clarity resets. Pair with: a gentle, non-stripping cleanse beforehand.
Twilight — Mixed
A blend of wavelengths for an all-over treatment when you cannot choose — or simply want everything at once. A good default on the nights you are too tired to decide.
Best for: a do-it-all evening. Pair with: whatever your skin is asking for.
How to choose in five seconds

- Tired, depleted skin? Renew.
- Looking for clarity? Calm.
- Cannot decide? Twilight.
A sample week
There is no wrong order, but if you like a plan, this is a gentle place to start:
- Mon: Glow
- Wed: Calm
- Fri: Renew
- Sun: Twilight
Four sessions, ten minutes each — with room to skip a night without breaking the rhythm.
A few common questions
How long per session? Ten minutes is the whole ritual; longer is not better.
How often? A few nights a week, consistently, beats a daily streak you cannot keep.
Can I switch modes often? Yes — choose by how your skin feels that evening.
Whichever you choose, the rhythm is the same: ten minutes, a few nights a week. More on the science →
